There’s no definitive answer to this question since it can depend on how each individual app is coded. However, in general, if an app is running in the background and you’re not actively using it, then it’s not likely that it will be counted as screen time.
For example, let’s say you’re tracking your screen time with a third-party app like RescueTime. Once you’ve closed out of an app or put your phone down for a break, RescueTime will stop tracking your activity in that app. So if you open up the app again later, the amount of time that shows up as “screen time” probably won’t have changed much from when you last looked.

What is background app activities in screen time?
Answer: Background app activities use up your device’s battery and can slow down your phone.
When an app is running in the background, it uses up your device’s battery and can also slow down your phone. To see which apps are using the most battery, go to Settings > Battery. There you’ll see a list of apps and how much battery they’ve used over the past 24 hours or 7 days.
If an app isn’t using as much battery as you’d like, you can turn off Background App Refresh for that app. This will stop the app from downloading new data in the background when it’s not open. To turn off Background App Refresh for an app, go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh and disable
Combien coûte trop de temps d'écran?
Answer: According to a nationwide survey of 1,102 Americans ages eight to 18, on average, kids spend about six hours a day on screen devices. That’s six hours of sleeping, or nearly one-third of their waking hours!
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) provides guidelines around screen time use for children and teenagers. For kids aged two to five years old, the AAP recommends no more than one hour per day of viewing “quality programming.” Particularly for this age group, too much screen time has been linked with developmental delays in areas like language skills and problem-solving ability.
For older kids and teenagers (ages six and up), the AAP says there isn’t
Does screen time apply to all apps?

There is no definitive answer to this question. Different apps have different effects on the screen time statistic. For example, some apps, such as Facebook, only require a user to spend a few minutes on the app in order for it to register as “screen time.” Other apps, such as Netflix or YouTube, require more hours of usage before they are registered in the “screen time” statistic.
Does a lot of screen time affect vision?
Réponse
Yes, screens can definitely affect your vision! If you spend a lot of time staring at screens, you may end up with what’s called “computer vision syndrome.” Symptoms of CVS include eyestrain, headaches, blurred vision, and Dry Eye. To help prevent CVS, make sure to take breaks often when working on the computer, and try to blink frequently to keep your eyes moist. You should also position your screen so that it’s at or below eye level, and adjust the lighting in the room so that there’s no glare coming off the screen.
