Why won’t my contacts restore from Google?
Make sure to add your Google account to your phone before trying to restore contacts.
Google contacts are stored in the cloud, not on your phone. Your device syncs with the cloud whenever it can and shares any new information you’ve added manually or automatically over time. If you haven’t synced in a while, some or all of your Google contacts may not show up when you’re restoring because they weren’t available locally on your device.
